GLASGOW PHYSICAL ACTIVITY FORUM
Glasgow's Physical Activity Forum is a Healthy City Partnership working group, which was established in 1996 to encourage and promote physical activity in Glasgow. The Forum’s work is underpinned by a commitment to securing improvements in health and reducing inequalities for everyone living and working within the city. To help meet this challenge, Forum members include representatives who possess a specific responsibility for designing and implementing physical activity policies to ensure Glasgow becomes an Active and Vibrant City.

FORUM'S AIMS & APPROACH
Since our launch in 1996, partner agencies have worked together to deliver physical activity opportunities for key target groups. Our aim is to work in partnership to develop a coordinated interagency strategy to maximise opportunities and develop support mechanisms which will increase physical activity levels amongst targeted groups in the city.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY FORUM ACTION PLAN
Major areas of work over the next year include the drafting and formation of the Forum joint Action Plan. This Action Plan is being developed through a full consultation process, which kicked off with the recent Physical Activity Open Space event held in Glasgow. The Action Plan will inform the development and promotion of Physical Activity across Glasgow. It will be aimed at informing and influencing service providers & partner agency’s service plans to ensure the delivery of the Forums Aims and Objectives
